Introducing the man behind the paddle…

Although from a boating family, it was twenty years in the music industry (playing guitar for bands such as Bassboosa, The Wonder Stuff), touring the world, and spending summers camping at music festivals that solidified Stevie’s wanderlust.

A regular recreational kayaker on the miles of waterways in Surrey, UK, in the summer of 2020 he pursued a life-long curiosity to follow the River Thames from its source in the Cotswolds to the estuary at Thames Barrier.

The trip was never intended to be recorded, but a friend lent him a camera the night before he departed and so the whole journey was filmed – its triumphs as well as calamities!

The response to the video was overwhelming, and so Stevie decided to combine his creative skills with his love of the outdoors to launch his YouTube channel and blog.
